A letter from Laurins McCollum to Hugh whilst he was at Vicksburg. Laurins was Hugh's cousin. I'm not sure of the exact consanguinity, but he's my 2nd cousin 5x removed. John C.'s brother, Duncan A. married Christian McCollum and the McCollums lived near all the McLaurin children. Archibald McCollum, Laurins' father was married to Mary McLaurin.
